Santo Domingo. Dominican Republic. The renowned law firm Ulises Cabrera celebrates its 55th anniversary with its collaborators and closest friends.
During the event held under the strictest biosecurity protocols, its partners reiterated the satisfaction of belonging to a firm with such a long history and reputation in the Dominican legal market.
“I am very happy to have reached 55 uninterrupted years of legal services, with honesty and permanent dedication, for the benefit of the clientele that has chosen us to protect the rights that, of diverse nature, have given us for the purpose of solution,” said Dr. Ulises Cabrera, founder of the Firm.
The Firm was founded in 1966 by a young and visionary lawyer, Ulises Cabrera. His great trajectory began in an office in Las Mercedes Street #323 in the Colonial Zone, at that time, this location was the centre of business in the capital. Later, he built a commercial building for rent in his mother’s house, which housed renowned businesses such as Banco Santander, Banco Español and Banco Universal; years later the firm moved to this location, which is where it is located today. Today it has more than 42 collaborators of which 20 are lawyers and 22 are administrative support staff.
The 55th anniversary of Ulises Cabrera comes with a renewal in the environmental awareness of the firm and its collaborators, assuming the commitment to be an eco-friendly office. To this end, it has implemented policies to reduce its carbon footprint by eliminating plastics and disposable foam, as well as reducing the use of paper. In addition, on 12 June, a large part of the team collected a total of 515 pounds of waste in a clean-up of the Güibia beach.
The focus on ethical and honest legal practice has always been Ulises Cabrera’s guiding principle, collaborating with corporate social responsibility initiatives.
