Success is determined by your actions. This is something that we can summarize from the interview that was conducted with our managing partner, José Cruz Campillo, as part of the international program, Young Partners Retreat Latam. In this space, he talked with Eduardo Paiz, a partner at Bolder Consulting, about some advice for those lawyers who are currently striving to achieve extraordinary results and to become rainmakers.
Cruz Campillo stressed that it is important to work on both internal and external leadership skills, he believes that this makes a difference in any professional career. “Clients have a nose for when a person has leadership, that’s where word of mouth starts. They start recommending you.”
To the new professionals he advised: “see yourself as a senior. Practice, observe and never stop”, he also assured that when a position as a partner is reached, a new stage of greater challenges, mentoring and high-level leadership begins.
