The 2024 Artificial Intelligence Ethics Guide of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) marks a milestone in the responsible development of emerging technologies. The document was shared in a timely manner with the United States Representative (USTR), who stated that it “is comprehensive and captures a solid guide for its membership.”
We are proud of the contribution of our partner, Mirna J. Amiama Nielsen with this important initiative from her role in the Artificial Intelligence Taskforce of the Technology and Innovation Committee of the AMCHAMDR.
Mirna Amiama, recognized for her commitment and experience, is part of the Legal and Energy Committees and the Artificial Intelligence Taskforce of the Technology and Information Committee of the AMCHAMDR.
This guide gives continuity to the pioneering work of the Artificial Intelligence Taskforce of the Technology and Information Committee to inform, disseminate and educate in Artificial Intelligence initiated by said committee since 2023, and in which our partner contributed from the beginning.
The Ethical Guide to Artificial Intelligence 2024 proposes some ethical guidelines to companies on how to integrate the development and use of Artificial Intelligence. It suggests criteria of responsibility, trust, governance, transparency and centrality in people.
