On February 26th, the National Salary Commission announced a 20% increase in the minimum wage for employees in the non-sectorized private sector. After meetings held by the tripartite body –the President, business leaders, and union representatives– the decision regarding the percentage of the increase, as well as the new national minimum wage rates, was formalized through Resolution No. CNS-01-2025.
The increase will be applied in two phases: 12% to be introduced on April 1st of this year, and the remaining 8% to be introduced on February 1st, 2026.
For large companies, starting on April 1st, the minimum wage will be RD$27,988.80; and from February 1st, 2026, it will be RD$29,988.00.
For medium-sized companies, starting on April 1st, the minimum wage will be RD$25,656.96; and from February 1st, 2026, it will be RD$27,489.60.
For small companies and microenterprises, starting on April 1st, the minimum wage will be RD$17,193.12 and RD$15,860.32; and from February 1st, 2026, it will be RD$18,421.20 and RD$16,993.20, respectively.
As for security guards and field workers, starting on April 1st, the minimum wage will be RD$22,990.80 and RD$666.40; and from February 1st, 2026, it will be RD$24,633.00 and RD$714.00, respectively.

These changes aim to improve the purchasing power of workers as the cost of living increases and consequently improveeconomic stability and strengthen the national economy.
