Ulises Cabrera, a law firm boasting over 50 years of experience, is proud to announce the promotion of Jeanny Aristy Santana to partner. Santana previously held the position of senior associate and led the firm’s real estate practice.
In her new role, Santana strengthens Ulises Cabrera’s leadership in real estate and tourism law. The firm now boasts a diverse team of 8 partners, including 5 women, and 20 associates.
Santana has an outstanding 23-year career in law, during which she has represented major national and international institutions and organizations in legal matters related to the development of environmental and real estate projects. Her expertise extends to due diligence in environmental and mining for renewable and non-renewable energy projects, and mergers of non-metal mineral exploitation companies. Notably, she led the first third-party review case admitted in the Real Estate Jurisdiction.
In 2022, Santana moderated the inaugural seminar on judicial demarcation in the Dominican Republic, where she interviewed key officials in real estate and tourism.
Internationally recognized by Chambers and Partners as an “Associate to Watch” and by The Legal 500 as a “Rising Star,” Santana is a law graduate from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre & Maestra (PUCMM). She holds a postgraduate degree specializing in Real Estate Law and an MBA from the Institute of Higher Studies of Business Law (IDEMPRESA). Additionally, she participated in “The Climate Reality Project,” a special environmental training program led by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore.
“We celebrate Jeanny’s promotion to partner with immense pride and anticipation. Her exceptional dedication, remarkable skills, and steadfast commitment to excellence have not only elevated our work standards but have also inspired our team. We are eager to witness how her leadership and vision will further enhance the growth and success of our firm,” states Leslie Cabrera, partner and office manager.
Reflecting on the evolution of Ulises Cabrera in recent years, through team strengthening and service portfolio standardization, José Cruz Campillo, the firm’s managing partner, asserts, “With a solid legacy of success spanning over 57 years, we are dedicated to continuing to innovate and adapt to new legal challenges. We are committed to ensuring that our firm not only preserves its prestige but also remains a leader in the legal industry for future generations.”
