The law firm Ulises Cabrera reaffirms its commitment to environmental preservation through a reforestation day in El Establo de San Luis Park, Santo Domingo East. Fifty collaborators joined the cause by planting a total of 400 oak and mahogany trees, which help to preserve the diversity of the environment by attracting bees and different species of birds.
During the activity, both Ulises Cabrera’s personnel and the Ministry of the Environment’s brigade took on the task of reforesting an area of more than 1,000 meters, as part of the company’s social responsibility and sustainability initiatives.
Through its environmental management committee, Ulises Cabrera designs awareness campaigns on environmental preservation and constantly monitors the impact of its operations in order to be a fully sustainable firm. They define their campaigns under the slogan “raising awareness from our roots”, since they indicate that to achieve a transformation in the way we act, we must first create awareness and change the ‘chip’, recognizing the impact of the small decisions we make every day.
“The change starts from our minds, we must seek sustainability in every area, think about the origin of what we consume, where the waste goes and how it will be managed, in addition to thinking about the impact of our actions and use natural resources efficiently, which is not just a nice name, but to generate a positive, real and tangible impact,” emphasized Leslie Cabrera, partner and office manager of Ulises Cabrera.
The team received an awareness talk from the Ministry of the Environment staff on the importance of taking care of our environment, how to plant tree species correctly, their conservation, as well as the hard work in favor of the conservation and preservation of biodiversity.
